He died for you-Easter ATC

This is my atc swap for April over at http://www.born2create.ning.com/. The theme is Easter. We have to make 9 and we swap them out round robin so as many people as want to can sign up.
I painted the background using Jo Sonjas paint-Fawn,brown earth and unbleached titanium, added a few drops of tim holtz distress ink- tattered rose while still wet and sprayed lightly with crafty notions antique gold once dried.Inked the edges with Pinecone ink.You can see this in the second picture.I found the image using google which I cropped down quite a bit to just get the crucifix image. Thanks for looking and I hope you all have a wonderful Easter and remember- He died for you!

TIME PAST

This is my accidental atc..I'm fairly new to atc and still learning techniques, well I jumped the gun and bought some alcohol inks but started before I decided to watch a tutorial on them..Apparently you need to use a clay based gloss card I used photocard..But nothing is spoilt,I dug out my satin glaze and gel medium, added some pigment powders and some glimmermist sprays Lumiere paint and was quite happy with my background..The lovely image was from Photobucket under wolves funny enough, and I achieveved the age spots when I applied the dimensional magic over the top  I was running out so I spread it over with my finger, this pulled up some of the pigment powders which gave me this look..Well that gave me my title ,Time past..Just love the whole aged effect here, thankyou for looking!

So I thought I'd enter the land of blogger for my atc's to start with, as I seem to have been totally caught up with this little piece of creativity. So this is the beginning of my journey.I have my most recent atc to share with you.I originally did this background for another atc as a trial run but preferred it in gold and well as i had this sitting there i decided to create something..I did the little window ages ago using kindy glitz or was it stickles,i'm sorry i really can't remember..The bottom corner is black tissue paper which i embossed with silver embossing powder.I then glued the braid on and painted with Folk art Mettallic sequin black.rubbed with pewter treasure gold for the final effect. The wings have been painted withtattered Angels glimmermist Juneberry wine and then coated with Pearlescent liquid acryllic platinum pink.
Thanks for coming to visit, will have some more to show you soon.
