It's Finished
She's Finished,OMG I can't believe it!I am so happy I sat up until 2 last night finishing her off.Hmm photographing was the hard part..I wanted you to see the background with the netting and texture paste it turned out great..I painted it deep pink and black all mottled and the dress is a really deep green shadowing to black..But it was very difficult showing the colours in a photograph AnywayI wanted to thank you all for encouraging me to give it a go again,I am very pleased with myself today!

WORK IN PROGRESS
Ok I have started Hmm might take me awhile .She is only on a 9'x12' canvas but this is a huge deal for me.She is the first painting I have done since first year in highschool, when I did ART.I've done my little atc but that has mostly been painting over an image where this is my own handrawn image.I"m sure it won't look like Deborah Harry by the time I have finished but at least I am finding my wings.

Debbie Harry Sketch
Not much to share..I had been working on a xmas canvas for The Craft Stand during the week but in my rush to get it to the shop I forgot to photograph it.Sorry girls. The Perth girls can see it instore .Last week in the Sunday times STM was a gorgeous pic of DEBBIE HARRY.I couldn't resist she was always my childhood Idol so I had to have a go at sketching her.I've drawn it on canvas, might even give painting a try. Can't promise i'll share though I'm really not very good at painting, drawing is much more my thing.

Playing with Picnik
I've been having a play today using picnik with a couple of photos I took at Whiteman Park. a few weeks ago. It's a huge park about 15 minutes drive from my place. There is a pioneer village, tractor and car museum, vintage railway, playground, wildlife park..Needless to say it's really wonderful there, and one of my favourite places to take Denver. Anyway i have to make some used postage stamp atc's so I thought I would use the cobb&co image at the bottom.I ltook alot of colour from the pics using the sepia tool added a frosted edge and then used a few of the textures.I was really happy how they turned out.Might even make a few cards with them.

A layout and new DT position
Wow it doesn't rain it pours .That expression is so true often in my life..I haven't scrapped for so long and just when I accepted the Dt position at ScrapwithV. within a day I was also asked to join my local scrapbook stores's Dt The Craft Stand.Well after a few days deliberation I decided to just jump in.Well I guess I needed that push as here is my first layout in months. It's to go up on the wall at the craft stand in Malaga WA so I was able to share it with you.I've used BasicGrey-Kioshi pp's.Just so pretty,I couldn't resist handcutting all of those flowers.

Crystal Ball
I've been sketching again..Oh I often wish I was a better painter..One day i'll take some lessons..I've always been pretty happy with my progress in drawing as I never studied art through school, though now I wish I had.If any of you brilliant artists out there would like to paint one of my sketches please feel free.I would love to see one all painted up.who knows maybe one day I'll get the courage to do one myself.I've titled her Crystal Ball, thanks for stopping by and encouraging me to keep drawing.
